Raising Dachshunds for 9 years has
been wonderful for me, I have placed my beautiful babies into wonderful
homes! I can say without a doubt that my dogs and puppies have always
been well taken care of.
Unfortunately, in the US we have many puppy
mills that continue to abuse dogs and puppies because people continue
to support them by buying their puppies.
Please check out breeders
by getting references, go check out their kennel, and ask lots of
questions! This abuse won't stop until we force them to close
down!!
Pictured to the left is little Amelia, she was rescued from a puppy mill in West Virginia where there were 1000 dogs and puppies
being abused and neglected. Amelia now lives with her foster mom Kathie
and family and has been adopted by them.
Kathie contacted us about a
gift basket donation in honor of Little Amelia for the Rivanna River
Earth dog Club event in April 2009. Some of the proceeds is donated to
the SPCA in Rural Palmyra, VA. I choose the Birthday Basket to donate
because the day little Amelia was rescued and went to live with Kathie she had a new birthday and would never have to suffer in
those kind of conditions again.
Please don't buy from these people, I know
you feel sorry for the puppies but, when you buy from them it allows
them to continue the abuse. Make sure that you report them!!
